Our story
Halcyon Liberia was founded on a simple conviction: having witnessed the devastating effects of Liberia's civil war, we could not look away. We are a nonprofit organization headquartered in Monrovia, Liberia — with a US representative in Lincoln, Nebraska — working directly for the children hardship hits hardest across West Africa — orphans, street children, and the less privileged.
Mission: To unleash the inner strength of West Africa's children by meeting their most urgent needs — food, education, healthcare, and shelter — and opening the door to the future they deserve.
Vision: A West Africa free of hunger, poverty, and crime, where every child has the opportunity to thrive.
Our approach: We don't just give aid — we walk with children. We feed, we educate, we protect, and we shelter, combining practical support with the steady encouragement children need to believe in themselves.
